Client : St James, Berkley Group

Residential-led mixed use development, Phase 3 of a large, multi-phase development – Overall development delivering 2500+ homes, Phase 3 has 526 apartments in 3 buildings including 36 story towers. Central chilled water system providing comfort cooling for apartments.

Ellipsoid Design Engineering : Complete BIM works of MEP Systems for 3 main towers of Phase 3. Closely worked with Architects, Civil, Mechanical and Electrical engineers to produce coordinated 3D MEP models and produced more than 650 drawings for various MEP services.

Oval Village

Client : Berkley Homes

Comprised of a collection of stylish Manhattan, 1, 2 & 3 bedroom apartments, Oval Village offers an exceptional lifestyle for its residents with stunning onsite facilities including a cinema, gymnasium, 24-hour concierge, luxurious swimming pool, residents' lounge and work space.

Ellipsoid Design Engineering : EDE were appointed to carry out the full coordination of M&E systems modelling and drawing production, including new hot water, gas installation and small power. Using Revit, 3D models were created and integrated LOD 400 for the scope of the work. It was the need of the project to have Architectural, Structural, and MEPF BIM services. Not only this but the project had integrated MEP BIM Coordination and Clash Detection to make the project flow easier, simpler, and faster.

Sewage treatment Plant, Edmonton, North London

Client : Thames Water

The upgrade means the STW now serve a population of around one million customers with further development space for the future. The overall project supports the local environment by increasing the resilience of the site, improving the quality of treated water and achieving a 99% reduction in odour emissions.

Ellipsoid Design Engineering : For this large infrastructure project, we initially created the BIM model at LOD 300, to make sure that the civil and structural elements are perfectly integrated with the design and drawings. Later on, with the help of software like Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks we further worked on creating and facilitating MEP BIM modeling, clash detection, and MEP BIM coordination for the given project. The final outcome of the project and our work was having a great level of accuracy that was required during construction.

Data Center, Germany

Client : Exyte

The project features a high level of modularity and prefabrication with positive effects on environment. The data center is a TIER III+, 100% concurrently maintainable. The data center’s demand will be matched with clean energy on a year by year, and it will use a flexible combination of adiabatic and dry cooling mode to mitigate risk of water scarcity taking climate change progression into consideration.

Ellipsoid Design Engineering : The EDE scope involves MEP modeling using Autodesk Revit. The Level of Detailing for the project was LOD 350. The model was used for coordination and the extraction of the shop drawings. We performed coordination work among all trades in a rigorous manner that reduced clashes and saved time and money for the project. Over 52 RFI’s were raised with 3D snap shots pertaining to Missing & Conflicting Data, Constructability/ Aesthetic Issues, Maintenance Issues and Accessibility Issues. Pipes, Ducts and Cable Trays were re‐routed to reduce fittings and cost. Over 400 Clashes were resolved which involves around 50 critical clashes arises due to clash of ducts and pipes with the structure and also maintenance accessibility issues.
