Mainly Autodesk Revit is used for MEP modelling. Architectural and Structural Revit/CAD files are used as reference in the MEP template and HVAC ducts, pipes, electrical control & distribution boards are created as per the markups. Care is taken to avoid clashes and duplication of an item multiple times. The process is similar to older methods where 2D is replaced with 3D.
